<p>I have been accepted to Oxford at Emory, NYU and U of Miami.... I have no clue which one to go to... I did not like the Oxford campus, but going to Emory after the first 2yrs would be great and my best friend lives in the Atlanta area... NYU campus is awesome but I will need about 20k a year in loans (same for Oxford).... U of Miami, the campus looks like a resort and I have 38K in scholarships and grants.... </p>

<p>just look at the stats of emory students getting into med school. it's one of the top in the country. they are all good schools, but just look at the numbers (not to suggest that the campus, city, and evironment aren't outstanding). for pre-med emory is the best choice.</p>
<p>It would be great to go to Emory, but you will have to spend two years at Oxford. If you didn't like it there, I suggest Miami. Plus, you don't have to pay that much money.</p>

<p>In your situation, I would probably look seriously at U Miami. Med school costs a ton of $ and it won't help if you're already carrying a load of debt. It will take a long time to pay off a loan of $80,000 plus take on additional debt for med school.</p>
<p>Emory has a great bio, pre-med program but, if you go to U Miami and do well in terms of gpa and preparation for the MCAT, you'll have no problem getting in.</p>
<p>To answer your question, an Emory degree might prepare you the best for pre-med. I personally would not attend Oxford.</p>
<p>If money is an issue, go to U of Miami; it's a good school. Do well on your MCATs and GPA at any school and you stand a good chance of getting into med school.</p>
