Can someone tell me a bit about Oxford? I just got admitted and I have no idea what it's all about other than I get guaranteed admissions to Emory in my junior year. Still, if I major in business am I automatically sent to the business do I get a guaranteed transfer into the Emory School of Business or might I get put into the college of Arts and Sciences?

Getting into the business school is not automatic. All pre-business Emory students apply during their second semester sophomore year. If they get in, they spend their junior and senior years enrolled in Goizueta. If they do not get in, they choose another major in Emory’s College of Arts and Sciences. Since Oxford students are Emory students, they too apply to the b-school during their second semester sophomore year. If they get in, they start at Goizueta when they move onto the Atlanta campus. If they do not, they major in something offered by the College of Arts and Sciences.

Thanks! @whenhen

@whehen do applicants need to submit SAT scores while applying to Goizueta? And what is the acceptance rate like for oxford students?

Here’s this year’s application form for Goizueta’s BBA
http://goizueta.emory.edu/degree/undergraduate/documents/BBA%20Application%20Form.pdf

Students are required to submit their SAT and ACT scores but when the BBA representative went to Oxford, she noted that it was just for data purposes. Goizueta doesn’t actually consider the SATs or ACTs for admission into the program.
