Oxford College (Emory) vs. Tulane

I have full tuition merit offers at both schools, so cost is equal. Even though they are very different environments, I really loved both and am having a hard time deciding. I know that internet strangers can’t and shouldn’t make the decision for me, but I was hoping someone might have insight or pros/cons I haven’t thought of.

I’m a prospective neuroscience major but am also interested in computer science and music (classical piano).

Oxford College / Emory Pros:
-Tiny classes/closer interactions with professors
-Priority registration every year, priority housing from sophomore year on
-Higher ranked, if that even means anything

Cons:
-Tiny student body, might feel claustrophobic after a year?
-Oxford isn’t in the greatest area (but Atlanta is pretty cool)
-Oxford doesn’t have a ton of computer science classes
-Not sure how easy it is to be involved in music at Oxford

Tulane Pros:
-New Orleans
-Suite-style honors housing is really nice
-Honors program is pretty interesting (focused specifically on research)

Cons:
-Much larger intro classes
-No priority registration after 1st semester
-Campus isn’t as walkable (nitpicky, I know)
-More of a drinking/partying social scene

Any thoughts?

Hey I’m in the exact same position as you. Have you decided on one of the schools?

You say money isn’t a factor because you have full tuition but is it a factor beyond that? IDK if it’s important but Oxford will have a cheaper social scene.

Beyond that, fit…small LAC in a smallish town (for 2 years anyway) vs a large U in a large city.
