<p>i'm currently a stats major hoping to minor in cs, but since i've had no prior programming experience, i did (very) badly on the first midterm. the deadline for changing the grading option to p/np is the day after my second midterm. </p>

<p>cs is not a major requirement, but is it bad to p/np a technical course? if i change it to p/np is it still possible for me to retake for a letter grade?</p>

<p>As far as I know it’s possible to retake for a letter grade. Your P/NP won’t affect your GPA, obviously, but I think it still shows up on your transcript if you retake the class for a letter grade.</p>

<p>Edit: Also, P/NP only affects your CS minor. You will have to take it for a letter grade in order to complete the minor.</p>
