PA State Grant

Is there an parental income limitation of $100,000 for the PA State Grant? Their chart stops at $99,000. Thanks!

Well, there is no income cutoff. The amount of PHEAA grant depends on FAFSA EFC, Pell grant amount and need.
Also there are different maximum amounts for different schools.

It’s a bit complicated, you can look up the PA grant program manual on the PHEAA website to see how it’s calculated.

I have found it’s helpful to look at net price calculators of (instate) schools to get an idea. They are not always up to date though.

But yes, if you make $100,000 most likely your EFC will be over $12,000, above which only 3% of need is met by state grant.

On the right under “documents and forms” the first link is for the pa grantrprogram manual.

Thanks!
