Packing for college

Hi.

Can you ship stuff directly to your dorm?
I live in LA but I'm going to be in Ithaca...what do you do with stuff you dont need back home but need at your college? I though of storing it in one of those storage places so that I dont have to carry it back and forth.

Also, I heard from someone that you should buy winter clothes at Ithaca rather than buy it at LA and carry it to Ithaca. is that just to avoid the work of carrying it?

thx

I live about an hour away from Ithaca… I would definitely recommend you buy your winter clothes here rather then at your home. It would save on your efforts of hauling it all the way to here.

There are quite a lot of places that sell that clothing here, maybe more than L.A.? There are often quite a few sales around here where you can get winter clothing so I would wait until you get here. If you really want to, bring a coat from L.A., but nothing else really. The temperatures usually don’t get to the level of needing a winter coat until November, usually the later half of the month.

I’m heading off to college next year too.

For dorm stuff, Bed Bath & Beyond has a program that they use for college shopping. You can buy everything in your local store, and pick it up in the store nearest to your campus.

I’m headed to college next year as well. Looking forward to the shopping. Good luck!
