My college has a semester long internship requirement to graduate. I was wondering how likely it is in the accounting field to get a paid internship, or are the majority of internships unpaid especially when I will be receiving academic credit? I would most likely be looking at a firm somewhere in the Boston area.

In any business field especially including accounting, the majority of internships would be paid. As an accounting major I would advise you not to bother looking at unpaid opportunities if you already have a strong resume/GPA. If you lack any type of work experience, an unpaid internship might be more obtainable but accounting internships are so prolific in most areas (because they are needed for just about every company) that you will most likely be able to find a paid opportunity.

Thank you! That was exactly what I was hoping to hear! haha
