pain-in-posterior rating for transportation to/from airport

My D has developed an interest in St Mary's. As an OOS-er, though, I worry about the transportation factor to/from Reagen Airport. Can someone comment on how hard it is for OOS students without cars to get to campus?

Sorry, can't answer your question. But, I'd like to suggest you include BWI in your airport considerations. It's a hub for Southwest Airlines and less beltway headache to deal with. Yes, it's 20 miles farther, but probably nets-out even for total drive time.

DougBetsy, thanks! I spent my high school years in MD & commute to DC fairly often, so I know National. Sorry, Reagan. I'm less familiar with BWI. But I appreciate the advice! (And glad someone is looking at this forum!)

Hi
We looked at St. Mary's - and while D loved it she chose to go elsewhere. we're OOS so xfer to airport was a question we pursues a lot. What we heard over and over was that there's a rider board and so many kids go to the DC area for weekends that it's relatively easy to get a ride - if you want one. Plus, I think there are buses on the major longer weekends off.

whereto, thanks! I also appreciate hearing that your D loved the school (despite selecting another). Good to know when one is evaluating from afar!
