I'm a rising senior and my June ACT was a 30( without any prep), with my highest in science (32). Is it possible to improve to 34-36 before the Sept test date??? Also, I just bought both Real Act and PR ACT, which should I tackle first??? Any advice regarding testing is highly appreciated! Thanks!

I went from a 31 to a 34. I had more time I guess. June of 1 year to March of the next, but I didn’t really do any studying. (the only reason I retook it was because my school required it). So it is possible. I would recommend reviewing grammar, punctuation, trig, prob/stat, geometry, basically any math you are having a problem with. A 30 is good, great actually, but I know that we often feel pressure to get higher, for top schools. Take it easy and don’t beat yourself up too much. Good luck.

^Yeah I agree; try not to stress too much. I think it’s possible to improve, but I really don’t know by how much. I would just try to look at everything you could possible fix and then just practice. You should definitely do the practice tests in the Real ACT Study Guide, since they’re more accurate than any others on the market. If you feel like you’ll run out of tests from that book (since there are only 3), you might want to alternate between those and the PR Review so that you have enough to prep with. I’d definitely end with a real test close to the test date since it’ll hopefully give you some confidence.

Good luck!

P.S. Congrats on the science score! I’ve been trying to improve since it’s really been bringing my composite down and I would be very happy with a 32 on that section!

Thanks for the encouragement and advice! I’m really going to need to review my weak spots and practice using the RealACT and hopefully that’ll do the trick.
