30 by June?

I'm in the 27-28 range my practice tests I've take so far... is a jump to a 30 unrealistic for the June ACT? By the September test that is my ultimate goal anyhow.
I don't worry much about English since I keep scoring 33-34 on it, so I'll just keep practicing for it, and our practice for the AP Lang test helps I think. But, the science section KILLS (by that I mean a 23!) me. I've heard from people to just focus on the graphs and start from the questions.... but do most of you agree with that?
Also, for the English section, do you guys think studying the grammar tips in the SAT blue book will help? I have brand new SAT prep books since I was originally going to take the SAT, or should I get a book just for the ACT.... I'm thinking of getting it anyway since I need to improve my math score as well, at least the last half of the questions.

How did your scores look from your practice tests to the actual test?

I don’t think a jump to a 30 is unrealistic at all. I would practice the science section. I had the same problem, but the timing killed me. It went from my worst to my best section once I figured it out though. If it’s the timing that give you a problem for anything, try using a timer that goes off every 4 minutes so you know when to move on to the next section when you practice.

Science isn’t as hard as it looks. Just look at a question first, then look at the charts for the information. The only time you read the information is when you can’t find it in the graphs and charts.

As for English, practicing grammar in general is fine. If you want to kill two birds with one stone, go ahead and study grammar from the blue book. Much of the errors are similar; just make sure you go back and do practice tests for ACT once in a while.
