paranoid about getting admission canceled

SIR means standing-in registration, meaning you are standing on between the door of the college and am not sure whether you are going there in the future. Of course you can SIR to alot of UCs! Again, I am will only say this one more time, when I talked to the lady she was REALLY nice to me and did not think I will not get in…

May I inquire, gracedpresence, what is an SIR? B/c I got into stanfordfullride, and i didn’t SIR anywhere.

Trollingggggg

ucsandiego915…why isn’t your name ucberkeley915 or ucla915?

uhhh if you read the contract, you’re only supposed to SIR to ONE UC. an SIR is a “statement of intent to register”
if davis and irvine find out that you’ve SIRed to three UCs, they can both recind you (and will most likely tell UCSD)

^^ agree. where did you get “standing in registration” from? it is definitely “statement of intent to register.”

don’t feed the ■■■■■■

plus, if the threat of getting recinded by all three schools wasn’t enough to deter you, just think that there was one kid from the uci and ucd waitlist that didn’t get in because of your extra SIRs :(

can anyone tell me what the percentage grade is for a D and for a C please?
my school sends grades as percentages and this might determine whether or not i get revoked too …

to JackSprout, did you accurately reflect your grade in the class? If so, (and this is not a senior year course) you are fine.

wow. not reporting two d’s in precalc and bio. thats pretty ridiculous.
SIR is statement of intent to register
you can only send in one. its in the contract you obviously didnt read.
congrats for wasting the time of every single uc that reviewed your app and wasting 3 spots for students who deserve admission.
people who answer the phone at admissions are not admission counselors. what they say does not determine your admission status.

My son got a D in AP Physics second semenster. First semester was a B. The final dropped him from a C to a D. We’re really worried he’ll have his acceptance rescinded. His other grades are pretty good. Any opinions or past experiences out there? Advise?

Sorry to break it to you 3 down, but there is a very high chance that UCSD will rescind his admission. They’re extremely strict when it comes to things like this

Advice: have him talk to the teacher and do anything possible to get the teacher to change his grade. It’s very likely he will be rescinded otherwise. Lots of stories on these boards that show UCSD is not messing around with that rule.

Relax guys, it’s UCSD not UCLA or UCB…

obvious ■■■■■ is obvious
