So near the end of the ACT Science test, I dropped my pencil on the ground and wasted 10-20 seconds picking it up. This delayed me, causing me to have one unanswered question. When time was called, I was so focused on the last question I did not look up at the proctor and put my pencil down. After 4-5 seconds, my proctor told me to close my booklet and look up. I did not get dismissed from the test nor did I bubble any answers during those few overtime seconds. I just had my head down looking at the test booklet and my hands still holding the pencil (but not writing/bubbling anything) once the time was called. I was allowed to continue for the ACT essay, but I’m paranoid that this will cause my scores to get disqualified.
bump pls reply
Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.
so as long if i didn’t bubble in the overtime seconds im fine right
also the proctor didn’t say anything at ALL about voiding my test, in fact, she didn’t even say anything else about the situation afterwards. All she said to me was “uh-uh, close the test booklet”, in which I promptly did. The rest of the test (writing) went pretty smoothly and nicely. But still, I am almost certain that she filled out an Irregularity Form because of this, in which that means that I’m screwed. I looked up the ACT proctor manual (because i was desperate), but it said if the irregularity form was filled and the scores to be voided it said that they must have been TOLD that the answer document was not going to be scored. However, I was neither told nor dismissed, but I am still paranoid that my scores will be voided.
Another thread about the ACT score you don’t have yet? I don’t think these are legitimate posts.
