is parent orientation actually helpful? and does anyone know how long it is? pleeease let mek now!

the parents attend mostly the same things as the students (with a couple of different sessions). It seemed like it was mainly for parents who didn’t trust their student to get the correct info. The parent orientation runs the same length as the student orientation. Personally I didn’t care for a bunch of people’s mommies and daddies to be there voicing all their worries and concerns. I told my parents that there was no parent orientation.

agreed, there’s no better way to get your parents off your back than to cut them off cold turkey. college is all about what you can do for yourself. i’ve heard of parents emailing professors and trying to set up extra tutoring for their kids or trying to change their grades, which i think is absolutely nuts.
