Parents attended IU...will that help me?

Hi everyone,
I’m getting ready to apply to colleges this fall and one of the institutions on my list is Indiana University - Bloomington. Both of my parents attended (and graduated from) the Maurer School of Law at IU and I was wondering if that would in any way boost my chances of getting in. I know some schools will give a little extra consideration to “legacy students.”

Possibly - they do ask about it on the application. I doubt you get a huge boost though

Edit: Why are you even worried about a legacy boost? Based on your stats from your other thread, you are a shoo-in for IU. You will be a direct admit to Kelley if you choose to go there.

I’m sure your parents know a lot about IU, but feel free to ask me any questions if you have them. I just finished my sophomore year in Kelley as an accounting major.
