What if my parents can't come to orientation with me because of a special circumstance?

If you’re talking orientation just as school starts, we never went to the parent stuff. We did some of that by going to accepted students day in April of that year. But it doesn’t matter whether your parents come or not. As long as you make it.

^^^Ditto. No one cares if your parents come–just you. (And frankly lots of parents don’t stay especially if it’s not the first kid they’ve dropped off at college.)

If you need to arrange transportation to campus from the airport, train or bus station, a cab costs about $10. Contact the housing office in advance to arrange an alternative check-in procedure.

Parent orientation is a totally separate program from your orientation–it’s OK, but not necessary
