Parents help/opinions?? Soo confused

<p>I was wondering if anyone can help me with me application process for fall 2012. Since neither of my parents went to college, they don't know anything about the application process and seem extremely lost anytime I ask a question that has to do with applying. I have been researching schools by myself but still seem confused with the many different factors that come in to play when choosing a college. </p>

<p>I am Currently an incoming sophomore at a CC in California
GPA: 3.9
30 units completed(will have at least 60 by spring)
Major: Psych.
Sports Teams: Soccer, Track & Field
Clubs: Psychology Club
Work/Community service: Lots of work experience, little community service experience, club soccer
Awards: Academic Excellence, Scholar Athlete, Deans Honor, most versatile player & Coaches award for soccer season 2011. </p>

<p>I am thinking about applying to:
UC San Diego
UC Santa Barbara
UCLA
Berkeley(In the processes of completing pre-req requirements;will be completed by spring)
UC Santa Cruz
UC Davis
Cal Poly SLO
BC
Northeastern</p>

<p>I would really appreciate if you can give me any advice on:
-Applications/essays
-Schools that are a reach, fit, and safety
-OOS schools
-Anything to strengthen my ec's ( I know I have few)</p>

<p>Thanks!</p>

<p>Go on the websites for the schools you are interested in. The websites usually have very clear directions on how to apply, financial aid, etc.</p>

First-Congratulations on doing so well at your CCC.
Are you familiar with TAG? This is the transfer admission guarantee in the UC system.
More info: [University</a> of California : Transfer Admission Guarantee](<a href=“http://uctag.universityofcalifornia.edu/]University”>http://uctag.universityofcalifornia.edu/)
As you are attending a CC in California, your GC will be well versed on what it takes to apply, and how best to craft your application to increase your odds of acceptance.
I am not familiar w/BC & Northeastern except what is listed in Fiske.
G’Luck!

<p>You are in a very good position to transfer to the schools on your list. The best place to start is your CC’s transfer advising department. You shall go there as soon as the start of the Fall term. There shall be advisers to answer your questions and help you in the transfer process. Best wishes.</p>
