Hi, this is my first post though I have been reading and enjoying the forum for sometime. Does anyone know what time the parents' activities end on I-Day? My daughter just received her "qualified" rating from DoDMERB on Friday (the only outstanding item) so we have not received the paperwork/schedules yet. I am trying to see if I can get a flight out the night of June 28 to join another family event in progress but don't want to book it until I know the I-Day schedule.

Sorry if this has already been covered, I read through previous threads but may have missed it. Thanks.

Generally speaking, I believe the last evolution for parents is the swearing-in and the subsequent goodbyes. IIRC, that takes place around 4-5 PM or so.

I'm sure that will be corrected, but it's fairly close.

Last year, the swearing-in was scheduled for 5:30p. We had the last visitation from approx. 6 - 6:45p.

Incidentally, for minority parents, there was an additional briefing scheduled for 7p. [We did not hear of this one until very late in the day.] It lasted until about 8:30p. [This is a consideration in that the shuttles to the stadium quit running sometime earlier; fortunately, we stayed in town and were able to walk to the hotel.] It's a long day of walking back and forth, from one end of the yard to the other. Considering the heat, the rain, the emotion, unless your event is on the East coast, I doubt you will feel like trying to make a flight.
