Parents' stance on dating?

My mom’s born and raised india (grandparent’s from middle east, so not Indian) and my dad’s white. My mom says no dating till graduation. My dad says I can date whoever I want. I live with my mom and not dad so no dating. I think I’ll find some way around this, I’m only a freshman.

technically i’m not allowed, but the parents gave up trying to stop me.
Yeah, totally… asian and indian parents… no dating lolz.

Use a condom.

Prepare for a ronery life.

^Cousin didn’t start dating until AFTER college and is happily married with children, so…

My mom had The Talk with me early and often. However, as a senior, she says there’s still more, which is…terrifying. I’m still recovering from the period section (and that was fourth grade!).

My parents have brainwashed me in to thinking sex is disgusting and sinful. That being said, they’re getting concerned, as I’ll be eighteen in a month and have not had my first kiss and I pretty much repel the opposite sex. They don’t want me to date, but I feel like they’re going to start putting a dowry together at this point. It’s confusing.

@ecouter11 LOL ! its exactly the same with me. I’ll be in the car and if we’re listening to like a talk show on the radio or something and they start talking about sex he’ll immediately change the station as if i don’t know whats going on lol. i’m almost 18 O_o

People still “date”??? jk jk. But I never really care about it for some reason. Besides I seen the drama that went on between my friend and his girlfriend and it was like they’re no longer friends… I never really took the time to look for a girl. My family would always wonder who my girlfriend when I have none. I even been asked by girls thru their friends don’t get me wrong they was cool and all but I never really see them as someone to go places with.

I’m Indian too! My parents said I couldn’t date until I graduated…college. So, no dating til I’m 22. My sister and I can’t even go to prom with boys. She actually took a boy to a dance once but my parents never found out. I’ve gotten so used to the idea that dating had become a turn off for me. I’d rather just have an arranged marriage and live happily ever after.
I’ve never had any sort of talk about anything intimate with my mom. We watch shows where they mention things like that all the time and she never cares as long as that sort of scene is actually being shown. She kinda just let health class in the 9th grade be our source of information.
