That is really helpful; thank you!

The administration has their hands full with very important business, no time to worry about getting required classes or fixing wait lists but plenty of time to worry about who might be planning to run for ASI president. “Four students running for ASI president faced penalties, including a $100 fine, because their names appeared in the Mustang News – the university’s student news organization. The fines are suspended until the university hears back from legal counsel regarding inconsistencies in the elections code.” You can’t make this stuff up.

My daughter was accepted to the University of the Pacific on Saturday, which she is stoked about! It took some of the sting out of waiting on Cal Poly. She still won’t give up on CP, even though we (her parents) are expecting a denial. At least she has 3 other choices now when making her decision of where to go. I REALLY hope we get some closure soon.

Congratulations!! I know how much it helps to see them excited about a school.

I think the tough thing about CP SLO is that they roll out admissions. RD at Stanford is the same day, April 1, but since they don’t trickle out before hand it takes a bit of the anxiety away (plus the odds there are so poor, no one puts all their eggs in that basket). The CP process is more like an NFL draft. Each person who gets picked that isn’t you is like a little paper cut. They are starting to build up.

@CDSMOM Congrats to your D! Sigh we have not heard either and we also think/know at this point it is a denial. And even though just as your daughter, she is excited about another University it is still bugging me that we have not gotten closure on the SLO school. It’s just rotten how they drag this out.

@CDSMOM Yipee!! congratulations!!

If anyone here is waiting to hear from UCD they release admissions this Friday the 14th after 5pm, per the phone message when I called this am.

Just found out (checked my portal) that I have not been accepted for admissions. Good luck to everyone still waiting

I’m so sorry @Hdlabfosbd1! That is the second rejection I have seen today. Keep your head up and just know that you were meant to be at a different school!

Thanks @CDSMOM . Supposed to hear back from uc Davis at the end of this week… Hoping for a different outcome, however.

@Hdlabfosbd1 my son’s girlfriend was rejected from Cal Poly four years ago and is now graduating with Honors in June from UC Davis (a fantastic school!). Best of luck to you!

My daughter was just rejected for RPTA. Sad…but glad this is over!

My D rejected as well (Communications). Sigh.

My D was rejected today for Bio. Finally know!!

My D was rejected today for bio with 4.4 GPA. Bad part is her brother was accepted last year for EE with 3.8 GPA. However to put it all in perspective of how things can be worse than this college rejection, my mother (grandmother to rejected student) was diagnosed with lung cancer today. She will end up where she is meant to be and have her own college experience separate from her brother.

S rejected from MechE today. Has already been accepted to UC Riverside Regents Scholar, UC Santa Barbara, and UC San Diego. Awaiting more decisions and already has great options. Good luck to all your kids!

S rejected today (CS). Oh well. He’s seriously considering Univ of Pacific with their Co-op program. Good thing he kept his options open. His chin is higher than mine! (but I don’t show the glum). Good luck to all others!

For all those interested in UOP, both my mom and dad went there for pharmacy school loved it and got a great education!

@Hdlabfosbd1 - Thanks! S not interested in Pharmacy but loved the school when he visited. Our only concern is the safety issue. I hear there are some sketchy areas and while there, my S and his dad had winos walking by their nice waterfront hotel (literally with the cheap wine in bags and smelly). I hear “on-campus” is safe though. I hope!
