I’m going to bedazzle a huge A on the back of mine.

We can’t wait, heading down Thurs night.

Found a houndstooth top today to wear to the game! Still looking for crimson accessories-- maybe I’ll order the rain poncho.

I’ve said it before - people from miles around are in awe of Class2012’s shiny A’s…

Can we bring a drawstring bag or something into the stadium to carry the ponchos?

I’m bummed, I was looking forward to all the tailgating/football game stuff, and I’m guessing that won’t be as much fun in the rain. Oh well, maybe it will cut down on the crowds some…(hey, a girl can hope, right?)

In addition to rain it is also supposed to be significantly chillier on Saturday - Friday high 91, Saturday high 72, so plan accordingly.

Class2012, I think I’ve found the shoes for you!

How did you know I was sitting here looking for shoes? Seriously. I like those ^ !!

Was looking at these, but the trim isn’t crimson and they don’t have my size. I need rain appropriate Bama shoes.

You could wear what every other female at Bama wears, Chaco’s. You can get them at Kinnucan’s at Midtown. To bad they don’t have any in crimson Only black but guess you could get a Bama “A” pin or something to put on them.

What about these:

These are pretty good for a basic tennis shoe. http://www.yoox.com/us/44470741LI/item?utm_campaign=affiliazione_us&utm_content=10&utm_medium=affiliazione&utm_source=linkshare_us&tp=11333#cod10=44470741LI&sizeId=

Zappos usually has a good selection of houndstooth rain boots and other shoes too.

DD does not own Chacos, Nike shorts or any shirts that are larger than her regular size. :)

Here are some rainboots:

Missread, I love, love, love those!

TxNCM, I know others will disagree, but I think Sperrys are just not cute. You did give me an idea, though - I can adorn a pair of shoes I already own or buy a pair here. Because I have all this free time…

(Also no on the Chacos. Not cute either.)

I can’t wear Sperry’s. They are just not for my feet at all. And to me, they are not comfortable. I thought the Chaco’s were hideous!!! Still do. I get they are comfortable but then I’ll just wear my Keen’s. I like the guys Sperry’s much better than the womens.

Is there an online GUIDEBOOK for Family Weekend???

I thought the site says there is, but could not find it listed on the guidebook app.

We get in late Thursday, and will be kinda just roaming around on Friday. The boy has class until 3. How about a dinner? We also do not fly out until later Sunday, so we probably will go to the Jazz Brunch. We didn’t do that last year, and I think it might be fun.

We would be happy to meet up with any and all that are available. I agree Saturday might be spotty, but if the weather turns, indoor plans might be in order at a local establishment prior to the game.

We will definitely be going to the Jazz Brunch. We’ll go to early Mass at St. Francis. Can’t wait to see the new church!

Since it’s our last year, we’ll try to see the Bear Bryant Museum and the Gorgas House and the Art Museum. There was a link on the Parents Weekend site, or on one of their emails, called “Around Town”, that talked about things to do in Tuscaloosa.

Since son will not be in town, we won’t do the Riverboat, but will do that another weekend with him. There no longer is the Alumni sponsored Riverboat party, which we were hoping to attend. So sorry we missed that in the past, but we’re usually wiped out from the drive on Friday.

We’ll definitely do the Engineering Tour, and if we’re out in time, go to the Chocolate event.

I doubt we’ll do the Beach Bash, but may just grab a quick bite and crash out to rest up before the big day. I’m spending so much money on my hotel, I want to enjoy that bed!
