Any parking advice for football games? Besides taking MARTA, of course.
I believe there is parking information on the GT Football website that could give you more detail. This weekend will be a little bit more crazy since it is Family Weekend and there will be a ton more people and activities at the game this weekend. I know the Parents Association has their tailgate scheduled for 1 p.m. on the North side of the stadium so you might need to get to the game even earlier.
Here is what the Family weekend guide says about parking for the game this weekend: all Georgia Tech parking areas are CLOSED for game day parking beginning at 6 a.m. Guests who are staying at hotels within walking distance to campus and Bobby Dodd stadium are encouraged to leave their cars at their hotels. Game day parking is available at various pay lots around campus and ranges in price from $10 - $30 per vehicle depending on the lot. One other suggestion is to park at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference center. You can always just walk across the 5th street bridge to the stadium. Enjoy a drink after the game while the crowd thins out and then head out.
Good luck. Games at GT are a lot of fun, hopefully the offense will start playing better this season.
And hopefully the weather will cooperate. Son’s friend might have access to private lot. If that doesn’t come through, we’ll park in Tech Square and walk or trolley. We’ll be there mid morning.
