This question is for anyone, but particularly those who stay in the towers... I dont know what to do with the parking situation, in one hand if I get the towers parking permit I get an assigned spot for the semester, BUT, I have to pay 500 ! which REALLLLYYY turns me off....So, what parking garages can I use if I get the regular D Student parking permit? and how safe is it to leave the car there overnight?

Hey M! I got a flyer during orientation that says the Towers permit is much cheaper! I hope it’s not a typo, or a tricky “per semester” price, or something like that… as stated:

On-Campus Housing Permits

Academic Village/Apollo/Libra/Lake Claire Decal:
Annual Permit - $141.00
Semester Permit - $71.00

Academic Village/Apollo/Libra/Lake Claire Hangtag:
Annual Permit - $212.00
Semester Permit - $106.00

TOWERS - Annual Permit Only
Decal - $141.00
Hangtag - $212.00

I’m not sure, but I used the semester decals for parking garages and parking at Nike. It’s very safe, no matter where you park. Well… I guess it’s just your luck… my roommate’s car got keyed twice for some reason.

A thing about UCF… they give parking tickets out like crazy. Don’t think you can sneak your car and park where the staff parks, even if it’s just a 45 minute class and you see a lot of available spaces… it’s not worth it LOL. I got quite a bit of parking tickets, LOL. Only my first year and I gotta say, I paid for like 3 parking tickets and successfully appealed 4 LOL. Yes, if you get a parking ticket that’s unreasonable, APPEAL IT. I’m just horrible with it. I always think I can sneak by since there are so many students, but nooo, all lies. These people will literally walk around the garage and check your license plate to see if they’re expired.

Good luck !

Eric, that is great news! that would be awesome . i guess I am gonna give them a call and find out ! I deff wouldnt kmind paying that , but 480 +taxes FOR ONE SEMESTER is just NNOOOO! lol

Mizzvii, thanks for the warning! lol thats always good to kno! I think im just gonna go for D parking, but if I do find out that parking for towers is 141 then ill go for that!

Parking passes went on sale today! [University of Central Florida Parking and Transportation Services](http://parking.ucf.edu)

As it turns out, Towers garage parking really is only $141 for an annual pass that expires on August 31, 2012. They did away with reserved spots, but the two Towers garages are still for Towers residents only. First come, first served I guess! Go get it!

u made my day! I just purchased my permit! so GLAD it was only 141 and not 500!!! that was a ridiculous amount!
