Part-Time Jobs in/around UCLA?

Anyone know of the ease of finding a job in or around UCLA? People say to work on-campus, but does anyone know how the pay will be and what kind of on-campus jobs are the best (in terms of chill/relaxation factor, good pay, no annoying people/customers, etc.) --haha what am I saying, on-campus jobs aren't going to be dream jobs.

How bout jobs around UCLA? Westwood? Maybe the Beverley Center?

Anyway, fill me in.

I had a great paid internship i found through monsters college website. It was 15/ hour in a prestigious economic consulting firm. It was fun and all the interns mainly did nothing.

[ASUCLA Human Resources](http://www.collegestore.org/jobs-student/asucla-jobs.asp)

https://i4w.ais.ucla.edu/ils/login.aspx?izAppID=edu.ucla.career.bruinview&izTargetURL=https://secure.career.ucla.edu/BruinViewLogin/Login.aspx

The first link directs you to the ASUCLA site. These are all on-campus jobs (restaurants, office administration). These jobs fill up very fast and the pay tend to be low (restaurant cashier jobs are between $8 to $9 and office jobs between $9 to $11.

The second link directs you to the UCLA job posting site. This is the Bruin’s main source of finding a part-time, full-time jobs, and/or internships. Make a Career Center account then log in, and you can change the search option so only jobs in Westwood can appear. If you want to work in Westwood or on campus which are not posted on ASUCLA site (Law School Office Assistant, Anderson School Assistant, Research Jobs, etc.), then the second link will be of use for you.

Also, there is a chance to earn between $20 to $50 for participating in a research.

Go to: [CASSEL– California Social Science Experimental Laboratory](http://www.cassel.ucla.edu/)

Register. You will receive an email everytime there is a research going on. All researches take place in CASSEL computing lab (in the Public Policy Building near the Bunche Hall) There’s usually at least one every month. You need to confirm your attendance, and these fill up pretty quickly. During the research, you play a little game against everyone, and if you come out lucky, you could earn as much as up to $50. If you aren’t as lucky, you may end up with as little as $20. but it’s a good source of extra money if you are really desperate.

Greattt, thanks!
