Party Schools

I attend Chico State and have to say that we've earned our rep. It's not as bad (or good, I guess) as it has been in the last 5-10 years, but still up there.

what about the top non-state schools?

TULANE!!!! which is right up the street from my high school

and

LSU!!! the worst....i have never seen so many drunk kids in my life

pretty much every big school is a party school

No one's mentioned Auburn (my school) but I'd say we definitely know how to party. You can get all the alcohol you want, whether you're underage or not.

ckmets:
some smaller/private schools that have quite a party scene are:

colgate
washington and lee
lehigh
duke
dartmouth
union
conn college
tulane
trinity coll
providence coll
bucknell
vanderbilt
rollins
denison
boston college

yea its unfortunate that BC is on that list

"ckmets:

DePauw University
How can the small school with the biggest frat/sorority scene in the country not be on that list... for gods sake in 2003 we were ranked like #8 in the country for party schools..

and please please please take denison off that list... that is just disgrace, denison's social scene is a complete joke

I hear Duke has some great lacrosse parties.

hey myheartsinohio:
thats what the word "some" means. my list was by no means exclusive!

What does "party school" really mean? Drink until you pass out, or just a really lively social scene? How can Wisconsin be #1 Party school when there seems to be a majority of science major working really hard. Lots of schools have that play hard, work hard reputation.

lol... sorry but I get rather sensitive when my school(actually future school, i start in august) isnt included on party lists, its probably the result of my regret of turning down ohio university

Hehe, good one. :)

Stony Brook University!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

no one really knows this, but UVA is a reallly big drinking school. i met this girl at duke who said she applied early to UVA and got rejected, she said she only wanted to go there for the parties. oh, and if you're wondering how she got into duke and not UVA, she is related to mr. duke himself, i think her grandmother was his wife.

There's a Mr. Duke?

Yeah. But I don't think he was young enough to be the girl's grandfather or step-grandfather, or whatever. Anyways, Duke should definitely be on the list. Go Blue Devils!!

Stony Brook. lol. That school looks as alive as a tree. Sorry, just gotta say it

University of Colorado - Boulder. Everyone parties there.

It's true that UVA is a big drinking school. I had Heinekens and Yuenglings in my refrigerator my first year and my frat brother had top shelf liquor in his room as well. While some schools openly say they have dry campuses, we pride in our soaking grounds.
