Relative to other top schools, how vibrant is the social scene? I mean, is it anything like Penn in this video?

Stanford’s party/social scene is pretty vibrant, however the one drawback is that with barely 7,000 undergrads, it’s pretty hard to have comparably huge ragers since we don’t have enough students. (Even if every single student showed up to one party it wouldn’t compare to most state schools because of the numbers.)

I honestly didn’t get a good opinion of Penn through the video, mainly because it seemed like the average partier is a white, entitled ******bag which isn’t the case at Stanford. (there wasn’t much diversity in that video at all, lol.)

Focusing on Stanford, I’ve been really satisfied with the party and social scene. There are students that drink and there are students that do drugs, so if you want to go hard there will be people that’ll be partying right alongside ya. It’s not overbearing either, so if you don’t want to party and drink there will be plenty of people that do other things as well. The one benefit of being a smaller school is all-campus parties. You don’t have to be on a list or bring 10 girls with you to get in, you just flash your Stanford ID and you’re pretty much in. Plus, it helps that we have extremely liberal policies on alcohol and drug safety.
