PARTYING at Princeton

My sources tell me that Thursday and Saturday are traditionally the big 'party' nights on the Princeton campus, with all the wet fun a pre-frosh could hope to experience. But what about Friday night? Is the scene just smaller, but still existent for those who wish to experience the 'party culture' on what is traditionally a quiet night? Extending this idea, are there parties available most nights of the week for the minority that wishes to attend and participate in such foolish festivities, or are such festivities simply non-existent?

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
A fun-loving admitted student.

Charter fridays are pretty popular, and there is usually at least one eating club open every night (other than maybe sunday). The nights other than Th/F/Sat might be a bit harder to know whats going on, since its far more low key and mostly members and guests, but it’s not that difficult to find out whats going on.

Room parties generally only happen on Thursday and Saturday. You’re right, just about all of the clubs are open every Thursday and Saturday. Friday is another “official” party night, but less ppl go out overall so everyone just goes to Charter (it gets really packed).

On all other nights, basically 1-2 clubs will be unofficially open each night. Generally only members and their close friends go out. If you know a member, he/she can just bring you to the club with him/her.

friday nights are the best. it’s more of a couch and movie night, though…

not much really goes on. sometimes charter is really packed, sometimes it isn’t. it’ll get old after a while.

Just a heads up to prefrosh – the street is closed/members only during Preview Days, so don’t expect to go out to the clubs (unless there’s one off-tap). Don’t worry, though, there will be lots of other things to do at night, including room parties, Black Box, and Tiger Night.

Last year Cap and Quad were open (off tap of course) during the Preview weekends, so I imagine something similar will happen this year.
