Do we get the opportunity to see Princeton's social scene (in terms of parties) during Preview weekend? Or are students told to not have parties and keep it dry?

Lol… do you even have to ask? All the eating clubs are either dry or members-only - no guest passes, no guest list. In addition, the Dean of Admissions will threaten to rescind your offer of admission if you’re caught drinking. I believe one club (Cap & Gown) will be having a dry “Salsa Night” for pre-frosh, but that’s a university-sponsored event. Btw, the number of room parties actually goes up due to the Street being closed, so maybe you wanna try to wander into one of those.

If your host happens to be a sibling or someone you went to high school with, and you really want to see the Street in action, you can try to stay an extra night and have them put you on out-of-town guest lists. This is easier to do if you’ve already turned 18 or if you have a student ID from another college/university.

There was a pretty good party last Friday during my Princeton Preview stay, so yeah, Prefrosh are allowed to see the “social scene” of the campus. Also, your host may be able to get you into other events (e.g., dorms parties, or things of the like). I would try to avoid anything not on the list to prevent yourself from doing anything crazy. =]

Haha when I first read the title, I thought is said Princeton Review Parties. That would be pretty exciting

^ hahahaha
