partying?

hey, i just wanted to know how serious tufts students are into partying and how the social scene is in general... do a lot of people go and get drunk all the time? are there lots that just like to hang out or do homework and not into the whole party thing (more like me...)? i dont really wanna go somewhere where i feel like i need to go out and party to make friends lol..

It's a balance, and every person has his own niche. You have the drinkers and the nondrinkers, but everything happens to fall into place within the first month or so. College is all about expanding borders though, so you have to make some concessions as well in order to grow :)

Oh yeah, you'll do fine here. You definitely don't need to go out and drink IN ORDER TO make friends. There were kids who liked to pregame and then hit the frats, and there were kids who wanted to stay in and watch DVDs or play video games. And kids who'd go into Boston for whatever reason - dinner, friends at other schools, concerts, etc.

But I mean, I don't really drink and I have friends who like to get trashed every once in a while. They'd never make me feel excluded and would tell me to play beer pong without having to drink the sunk shots. Love them! lol

kureeji23,

I'm exactly like you -- and I'm going to Tufts next year! :)

Tufts students go to parties at MIT: that should tell you something about the party scene here :/

(a Tufts student asks: ) who's going to parties at MIT?

MIT has the best parties in the Boston area. That's why Tufts kids go to MIT parties. I've been to a couple of the international frat parties and they beat Tufts parties, any day, hands down.

Another Tufts student asks: who the hell goes to parties at MIT?

I've never heard of someone doing that, save for a one person swinging by MIT frats (which cater to BU students) once in a blue moon.

Best party all year at Tufts = iCruise. It's on a BOAT. And there are a ton of crazy awesome international kids. It was one of the highlights of my first year here!
