Passport required for documentation

My son has just appeared for his Standard XII Board Exams and with his excellent academic results, we wish to send him to UK for his graduation and higher studies. However, he does not have a passport yet and the colleges in UK are asking for applications. Can my son still apply?

It is up to the schools, but often you can write into the space “passport applied for”. Passports are often received 2-4 weeks after application, but it can take 8 or more weeks (in the US). Apply now. He cannot travel without the passport.

You can expedite a passport to get it in 3 weeks or less (extra $60).
If you have proof of travel plans - typically an airline ticket - you could even get your passport the same day or at least well before the travel date. You have to make an appointment with the passport agency, and show up with your proof.

Yes. Your son can still apply to the colleges in UK for his graduation studies. You can apply for getting his passport done in the meanwhile. For any further queries with this regard, I would suggest that you consider asking the professional agencies since they know the exact processes of applying in colleges. If you are in India, I am presuming the same, you may think of someone like The Chopras. These agencies make it a point to assist you with specific solutions. Hope this helps you in arranging your son’s higher studies.
