Past experiences with Texas Tech Online? (or other online classes)

Hello, so some unfortunate things happened during my junior year, and in the end, after unenrolling, and now re-enrolling, back into my public high school, I have some missing credits from my junior year that I would ideally like to complete this summer.

My counselor has given me some options for summer classes. The courses I would like to complete are Communication Applications, DIM, and Physics.

Texas Tech Online (TTUISD) - This seems to be the best option at around $165 per semester. However, I do have some questions for people who have previously taken classes on here. Are the "required textbooks" actually required to successfully complete the class and final exam with a 70? I know money should not be my biggest concern right now, but one semester of Physics costing $165 goes up to over $400 after purchasing the "required textbooks".

Plano Eschool - I have heard that this option is much easier... but each semester is $320. So if TTUISD classes do actually require purchasing of the textbooks, this would be the more preferable option, I suppose.

Texas Virtual School Network - ?? I can't access their course catalog for some reason and can't find much information on it.

Has anyone had experience with either of the three schools mentioned above? I know there are other online classes out there, but these are the three that my school has provided to me, and they are probably the only ones that they will accept credits from.

Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
