I have a single room in Paul Revere... Can anyone tell me anything about the rooms, the dorm, the people there...? Anything you can tell me would be awesome!

It’s the biggest girls dorm and arguably the most convenient on campus. You will be within 50 yards of food and most of your classes (math, science, history, international languages) and a few hundred yards of English and other core services (library, gym, mailroom, etc.) The singles are more than adequately sized. As for the people, I’ll leave that to the students to answer…

Best. Dorm. Ever. I lived there my first year and I loved it. It’s very close to all of your classes, which is nice both for sleeping in and exchanging books during the day. It’s also nice when things are going on on the weekends, because you can see a lot of the outdoor events from your window. The singles are quite spacious, though some of the fourth floor ones are a slightly awkward shape due to the slant of the roof. For whatever reason, a lot of the overhead lights are quite dim, so to do any work at night, you’ll probably need a lamp of some sort. The closets also don’t have any light. I usually just kept a push light on the shelves and it was sufficient.

The people there tend to be a bit…bubbly. It can be a bit loud during the day Mon-Fri and at night on the weekends. Like most dorms, it’s quiet enough during study hours. The only house counselor that’s the same is Ms. Shimazu. She’s a little crazy, but amazing. Get her to tell you stories, she’s got some…interesting ones. Ms. Shimazu’s pretty lax about the rules, but I’m not sure about the other three.

As mentioned above, it’s one of the nicer dorms on campus (I assert that Samaritan House has the nicest rooms, though). It is really large (I think only Rockwell and the PKN dorms contend in size) and close to everything (for some people, a plus. I’d personally rather live on the Knoll).

You think Samaritan’s rooms are nicest? Out of curiousity, why? They were nice, sure, but I’d reserve the honor of nicest rooms to Morton House.

I’m personally not very fond of Morton House; Sam House struck me because I like tiny dorms (5 people) and the rooms are absolutely huge. I think they’re all larger than my college double. I’m probably biased, though, because I was friends with most of Sam House at one point. Admittedly, the “common room” leaves a lot to be desired.

Well, to each his own. I was friends with most of both dorms’ residents a year ago, but I don’t think I’d want to live in either.

ulu, what a coincidence my best friend is going to be in Paul revere dorm and shes super stoked about it. ;)

TIGER, what a strange coincidence Lol.
