I donāt have a login for Gibsonā¦ I called the admissions office a while ago and they said that I donāt actually need it
Signed up for My UPS but not sure if it any good at this point. Seems like a neat service regardless. Gibson has been off and on lately for us, BTW.

So if Iāve had a UPS account for about a month now and have not received any notification that a package is being shipped, is it safe to say I didnāt get either scholarship? I was incredibly proud of my DHS and my stats were right in the middle of the typical pool of recipients. I guess it really was a long shot. Congrats to anyone whoās already seen an update, and Iāll keep my fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle.

Did anyone else receive the financial aid award email? Do you think that means I did not get the scholarship? Itās basically all of my work study/loans stuff from FAFSA.
@penguin17 - FYI: I found this years admissions blog on fb - Tulane Admissions. Didnāt mention anything abt the scholarships going out yet, but will probably be announced tomorrow.
Unfortunately Iām now realizing that my D might have made a costly error. She was deferred EA and had her school counselor send in her mid year transcripts. However, she (we) didnāt know that she should contact admissions herself and show additional interest. Someone mentioned this to me yesterday and after reading the admissions blog, JS (who happens to also be her admissions counselor) specifically advises deferred students to make this extra effort! Honestly, I would have thought a bunch of emails and calls from deferred students would have been annoyingā¦now I hear/read itās essential.
My D can send or call today, but obviously too late to be considered for the merit scholarshipsā¦in which she would need to attend. I feel sickā¦
@gratefulmama I think that the fact your daughter bothered to apply for the merit scholarships shows that she is very interested in Tulane. It may not be a problem that she didnāt reach out to her admissions person (but I think she should do that now as well.)
I think it is strange that no one else seems to have a UPS shipment on the way. I thought you could only see what zip code the package was coming from, not that it would say āTulane Admissionsā. @myoldest did it actually say Tulane Admissions or did it just have a New Orleans zip code?
Yeah, I also heard from previous years that they mail out something to you notifying you that you didnāt get the scholarship as well.
@mushu123 students receive an e-mail letting them know they did not receive the DHS or PT a few days after the recipients receive their package.

@mushu123 My understanding is that they send out a letter to say you didnāt get the award, not a package, about a week after scholarship notifications. I think those go out regular mail, but not sure. Either way, Iām just hoping and waiting for tomorrow right now. 
I canāt be sure of anything, but Iām hopeful.

For those of us with no UPS notification, I did see that there were at least a couple of winners last year who didnāt see anything on UPS. Still holding out hope, but not feeling very optimisticā¦
@3kidsinMA This may just also be one of the two awards (PTS vs. DHS). They may not send out both batches at the same time. My kid applied for both, so if it is an award, I have no way of knowing which.
@luckymama64 said that admissions told her the awards were āgoing outā on 2/15, not arriving 2/15. Also it looks like last year the awards went out Next Day Saver so unless theyāve switched to 2nd Day Air @myoldestās son might be receiving something else entirely.
My son will not set up an account. He says we will see what does or does not arrive tomorrow. He obviously does not love me

Actually, my husband said Iām banned from College Confidential. He canāt take all this hyper-analysis!

@trackmbe3 Interviews are not a pre-requisite correct! Decisions for Paul Tulane/DHS will go at by the end of the month.
