<p>Does anyone know if this is true. Paying $80 bucks for a month of unused service would not be fun, but if that means my rates will shoot up, I will deal.</p>
<p>i know for att we cant break our contract just to save one months bill if we want to keep our monthly rate. i dont think comcast would be any different.</p>
<p>On a similar note, has anyone tried to keep their promotional rate by threatening to cancel? How did it go?</p>
<p>Apparently my uncle who lives in Fremont does it all the time. (as in gets them to renew the promotion)</p>
