Basically, all of my financial aid was not on my term bill so I went to the "payment adjustment" part and selected "I am receiving additional financial aid this semester which is not on the statement." and I was suprised that it still asked for an echeck/credit card

Are we expected to pay this amount with our own money until the aid is applied and then wait for the refund? This whole time I've been under the impression that my term bill was going to be fully covered because I submitted everything and didn't have any outstanding documents. I really don't have an extra $2,500 to throw down even if it's temporary.

Whether it’s $2500 or $11000 I don’t have any of it and I know it’s due tomorrow.

I think it’s weird that SO many of us are having this problem… I understand that they have a lot of paperwork to look through, but they could at least tell us what to do in these situations!

You don’t count work study when you adjust your payment. If your balance is still covered, then try just adjusting it to like a cent or something. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to do that, but if you’re not comfortable with that just try and call them tomorrow early in the morning.

I don’t have work study, I have a federal direct loan and NJ Stars II… I’m thinking Stars is the problem because they always took forever at my community college :-/

I’m sure I’ll end up calling them tomorrow… I just don’t understand the adjustment stuff haha I feel like I’m missing something. I thought I would adjust it to show what aid I am supposed to get just so they knew…I didn’t think I would be asked to send them a check. Clearly I am clueless when it comes to this mess haha

ttk, same situation with me here. My loan still hasn’t shown up and I already paid the full payment today. I hope the loan will apply and they will give me a credit.

I only paid the remaining balance as if the outside scholarship had reached them and then mailed a copy of the letter showing the scholarship would be mailed directly to Rutgers. I called student accounting regarding my bill and she said it was fine even thought the computer had not updated my payment even though it had cleared my bank account . She could see that I had been on the site and said it would update eventually. Hope this helps.

Looks like a lot of people are having problems. I’m sure you have nothing to worry about.

Mine says I owe $2,000 ish and all my Aid hasn’t been processed. I’m supposed to be getting $1,330 back from my Grants. Who knows what’s going on.

I’m not paying a cent since the person I talked to back during June said, “You have nothing to worry about with the Grants and Term Bills; you should just get a letter from Rutgers saying you payed it all.”

I have a similar problem as you guys but the exact opposite. I recently reject my financial aid but the bill payment things still say that i am covered by the F/A. How do i pay the original amount without the financial aid? Because the site won’t allow me to change the amound.

We had the same problem. My son declined the financial aid last month, but it was still on our bill. We were told that the computers will be updated with that information at the end of the month.

at my Star Day i overheard lots of people complaining that NJ STARS II people were getting screwed by the State b/c they have no money…dont know if it’s true or not

I found out it was my problem. It was firefox. Apparently rutger’s bill payment website conflicted with firefox’s software configuration, so everytime i clicked on verify payment a WOLP code error would pop up. Once I switch to IE, the WOLP code error was gone. I was allow to pay my bill in the original amount.
So for anyone who has issues with payments, if your not using IE, use IE to pay your term bill online.

so i paid my term bill as if fa was credited on the term bill and today it still says i owe the full amount and none of my fa shows up but at the top where it says attendance confirmation (term bill) received is had Y now instead of a N does that mean they received it? i can’t even call them the line is busy and ive been trying for the past two hours!

anyone figured out what we’re suppose to do regarding the fa on term bill or how/when to confirm attendance or am i good from the Y?

My only problem is that I just don’t have the funds to cover the amount and wait for a refund. ugh

Well I would hope that I would be notified if there was a problem with stars because that’s ridiculous. It wasn’t originally on my award letter, it was added in a revision. I know they are slow with everything and it always causes problems… all of my classes got dropped at my community college one semester because they took to long to post it to my account.

I wish they would have sent the term bills out a little earlier.

I got everything fixed… I went to the financial aid office and it took like 2 minutes. whew. I printed out my award letter and my term bill and they gave me a receipt back showing the credit to my account and the money I will be getting back (although I’m not sure when that happens?)
