1) I was allowed to submit my apps and have the nice little green triangles. But when I paid, the site said I could expect the payments to be processed 1/3/11--after my Jan 1 deadlines. My apps are still in by the deadline, right?

2) If I accidentally paid twice for a school... will they still accept my stuff? I'm not worried about losing the money so much as my app going through.

Edit: Figured out my other question about the teacher recs.

If you app is submitted, it’s submitted. If it says “Submitted” for your Common App on the My Colleges page, you’re good. Colleges can download your app any time after that point. Credit card payments will be processed on 1/3 because that’s the next business day. That is just when the money will actually change hands.

No worries about paying your application fee twice - your app will still go through. If that is indeed the case you can expect one of the payments to be refunded.

S has a green triangle next to payment at a certain school and I checked that the money came out of my bank account. This school though, school sent him an email that he did everything but pay. I would pay twice for now, then miss risking the deadline. How can you pay a second time?

dopp23 - I would have your son reply to the email that the Common App Online shows the payment was made and ask if there were any other problems. If the Common App Online shows you’ve paid then you cannot pay again.

quomodo - the refund should happen automagically.
