I was thinking of doing a pe class during iap and then I checked the site for the registration [http://web.mit.edu/athletics/www/physed/importantdates.htm][/url]
and realized the registration deadline was in march. Is it still possible for me to take pe classes in january?

WHA? Since when was PE registration so early? We barely got in at that time. Don't we register at Orientation for PE classes for the Fall, and IAP later?

My son took a PE class over IAP (skiing) and didn't register for it until he was back on campus in January. Don't worry about it now.

The lottery for IAP PE classes will be in early December. The lottery for fall PE classes will be at the beginning of September (for first quarter classes) and sometime around the end of October (for second quarter classes).

I think what's wrong with that page is that they wrote "3rd quarter, 4th quarter, IAP" in the left hand column when they meant to write "IAP, 3rd quarter, 4th quarter".

is yoga a PE class? can guys take it?

Yes, and yes.

Which pe classes tend to be popular and hard to get into?

Pistol, definitely. Especially the IAP session.

Group exercise classes tend to be full, again particularly during IAP.

Everybody wants to take their PE classes during IAP (sensibly enough) and DAPER doesn't really do much to accomodate the extra demand during the month of January.

Ice skating usually fills up, as does skiing.
