Can someone explain the difference between Peabody and Vandy Arts and Sciences requirements for entry (25/75 range of SAT, ACT, etc.) Friends tell me if one is applying to Peabody (Education) the "standards" are lower than if you apply to Arts and Sciences college.

These statistics are for the Class of 2011.

College of Arts and Science/Engineering/Peabody/Blair
Acceptance Rate: (29%)/(46%)/(47%)/(42%)
SAT 25th-75th percentile: (1310-1480)/(1330-1500)/(1250-1410)/(1260-1460)

Source: Vanderbilt Institutional Research Group

So yeah, you can see the stats are lower, but that doesn't mean it's easy to get into.

College of Arts and Science/Engineering/Peabody

Average Funds in Trust: (10K)/(2K)/(50K)
1-10 Attractive 25th-75th percentile: (5-8)/(2-5)/(9-10)
Legacy Important: (Not Really)/(No)/(Probably)

palmettotree, I love the honesty, are you a current student? I will be a freshman next year at peabody, I might double major or minor with something from arts and sciences not sure yet thou.
