I was looking at the williams application (I'll be applying there ED in the fall) and for the peer recommendation section, it said that it could be a sibling. However, would they look down on that? I'm a twin, and I think that my sister could write a really good one for me, but would it look better to have a friend do it?

Yes, you can have your sibling write it.

I had my older brother write it for me (which he refused to show me, lol) for Regular Decision. I got in with an Early Write. So no problem there at all. I think it just needs to be someone who KNOWS you very well and describe in detail what kind of person you are.

Of course, I bought him a nice dinner after finding out that I was accepted. :D

Yes, absolutely! Williams will not “look down” on a sibling, and a friend is not necessarily better than a sibling or v.v. Don’t worry about it so much - the peer rec can only help.
