Pencil Rant

Pencils always run out of the eraser on the back and its so annoying!!! Once the eraser is gone, the pencil loses its worth. You can't do math or physics or anything without leaving a horrible smear.

How come anyone hasn't invented a way to have erasers on the back, preferably ones that last longer than the lead that is inside the pencil??? No, I don't want to buy those eraser caps. I don't want to use the block erasers because you have to drop your pencil and find the eraser. All pencil should have the ability by themselves to come with an eraser so that they are actually usable.

If you use mechanical pencils, you can always buy those eraser refill things. Lol. But yea, you’re kind of SOL if you’re using a normal pencil and don’t want to use the cap or block erasers.

Wait, this is an absolutely fabulous rant!
Seriously. This pains me every day.

What’s wrong with eraser caps?

I support this. My eraser always goes away before my lead :[

Today at school I forgot to grab a pencil from home so I only had one pencil which was now about an inch and a half long and with almost no eraser left. Every time I erased it left a large black smudge on my paper!

If you made less errors you wouldn’t run out as fast.

If you had any skill you’d do math in pen…If you were as good as me, you’d do math in sharpie.

I like mechanical penicils. If i have to use a regular pencil i always have a gummy eraser. I dont like the pink ones. Like if you make a really big mistake you can get rid of it fast and it doesnt look like you made a big mistake and had to erase the whole page. I like my tip super sharp and always grind down the pencil before i use up the eraser, plus its an excuse to have to get up and stretch if class is boring.

I hate back-of-pencil erasers. They smudge from day one.

The bottoms of mine always rip after a few days

Or you can be like me and don’t make mistakes.

Just sharpen the eraser part. Pencil sharpeners can handle sharpening the metal. Voila

I don’t think I’ve ever had an eraser run out…

I know exactly how you feel. Especially on the BIC mechanical pencils, I HATE using the eraser that comes with it. I always use an eraser cap or a big eraser but it is annoying…I hate when the eraser caps break and just become useless. But even worse is when I see someone using my pencil’s eraser…kills me everytime.

no, sharpening the metal definitely breaks the pencil sharpener

^It works on those small, manual ones (the kind you keep in your bookbag). I do it with mine all the time.

Yes, I meant handhold. I’d imagine the outcome for using electric would not be good.
