Hey did anyone else apply to the NETS program and Chemical Engineering at SEAS.
@VaishS - Thanks. I believe they have more information than just what you have stated. Not sure how much more though.
@shivaya , they also know which UG School are you applying to and your intended major. They also know your schools address. Thats it though. I’m 100% sure
Thanks. BTW, its 1.30AM and you are still up? Get some sleep.
I sleep at 3:30 nowadays @shivaya
@ShaunakK98 - So, how did your interview go? What questions did they ask?
@shivaya thats what it says on their website in the interview section

@shivaya It was quite normal. Why Penn, Why M&T, what will you contribute to Penn, what do you do outside school , etc
I literally feel that on a spiritual level
@emilyskates everything you posted I can relate to religiously haha. I remember working so hard junior year but I can barely even do the most basic of reading nowadays
Lol @shivaya
I have been trying to keep my Penn app quiet at school because it is nobody else’s business. My interviewer apparently told another kid from my school that she interviewed that she had just interviewed me a few days before him. She then went on to tell him that it was me. So this kid called me out in front of my friends and said that we had the same interviewer. Now some of my friends are mad at me because I refused to tell them what school it was for. Talk about “confidentiality”
In order to have a chance at Wharton for entrepreneurship/bepp do you need at least 3.95 GPA, 2300 SAT, and extra-circulars in businesses (like starting your own or interning at a startup?)?
So has no one applied to NETS or SEAS (chemical engineering)?
Anyone else apply to SEAS? I applied to SEAS.
@TheWaffleMan149 that is so not cool wtf i’m so sorry
EDIT: i didn’t know CC censored acronyms too lol
@mirawan68 Lol Yeah tell me about it. As of now, I think he is the only other student at my school that knows, but this kind of stuff spreads like wildfire at my school. I just do not think that everyone needs to know where everyone else is applying, their scores, essay topics, etc. What matters is where you get in.
@jkman101 No. Penn doesn’t ask for a certain type of student. They want students that show interest in the major they chose and willingness to be open to multiple types of subjects. You’re coming to learn about entrepreneurship, not how to review everything you did already.
There are many people who get accepted to Wharton without a business background. The school wants diversity, not a collection of clones.
@toffys What do you mean by diversity, like racial diversity or diversity in their EC’s?
@jkman101 They want students who are voices, not echoes. They want students who have done the unusual or have succeeded in a certain sport/profession/hobby/activity. A classroom discussion, specifically a business class, wouldn’t be interesting if all students had the same thing to say. They want conflicting viewpoints, new topics, new ideas… things that will bring something new to the table. For example, I read about a girl (accepted to Wharton) who ran a fashion blog with over 25,000 subscribers. She will most likely have a story to tell and have advice/topics to engage the classroom. She also wanted to bring her experience to Penn to benefit its clubs, magazines, journals, newspapers, etc.
