Penn Financial Aid

are any of you transfers getting substantial aid? my aid is $0 on the website right now. this is kind of disappointing.

I got like 18 grand in grants. My EFC was ~5000

man, considering the total costs are $42,000+, the total grants dont seem that adequate.

damn i want my fin aid already

question:
when you guys saw your decision online and followed the penn plan on line link to see your financial aid, what did your evaluation look like?

first of all, when i click it it says "Dear ,"...it doesn't even have my name. then when i click "financial plan summary" it says financial aid is $0 and family contribution is $44,300. since it doesn't even offer loans to cover this, and i filled out the fafsa and the penn financial aid sheet, i'm led to believe my financial aid isn't posted yet but this is just a default until it is posted.

am i wrong? enviroman, did yours look like this? should i wait a few days to get something in the mail? help!

anyone know?

thrills....I talked to SFS yesterday and they stated that they have not completed FA numbers for regular, transfers and non-traditional students like me, yet. Plus, they have working on the website for a while and they still don't have it working properly (per an Admissions Officer).
I hope this helps.

They told me NOT to go by the numbers on our student accounts/login page as of yet.

thanks thomas!

Have any of you received Financial Aid information/results yet? I would like to know before I do anything in regards to withdrawing enrollment at my current school.

yes..i only got a 2k grant and a few thousand in loans...trash

it sucks to have to tell penn no b/c i will be in 120 thousand dollars worth of debt when i graduate from there.

thrills...I am really sorry that Penn didn't only gave you $2k. I would definitely agree that taking on over 100k in debt is not worth it. All the best luck in whatever you decide to do. (btw...what was the EFC on your FAFSA?...maybe Penn uses that).
