Penn Housing

I’m having trouble deciding which college house is the best. I’ve been accepted to CAS '22, and would really prefer a single, but I’d still like to be around lots of people in a nice hall, so I can make friends easily, so I was thinking the Quad. But what’s their policy on visitors(non-students)?? Can they spend the night?? Also, which is the best in the Quad, with the biggest dorms (or cleanest bathrooms) (Ware>Fisher>Riepe?) And how’s Hill? I was thinking of making that or Stouffer my fourth choice. Sorry if this is long, I’m just really indecisive. Please help!!

I lived in Hill before the remodeling that was completed this year, so I’m sure the building is even nicer. Most of the singles are pretty small (there are a few singles that are huge, but they’re randomly given out), but you’ll end up hanging out with everyone in your hall.

Across all college houses, you can sign in visitors and they can spend the night. As to which house in the Quad, I would stay away from Ware – everything was drab/miserable when I stayed there. Not a great Quad experience so try one of the other houses.

For Stouffer, Stouffer proper is pretty social, but there are bugs/mice as the building is above a bunch of restaurants. In Stouffer Mayer, the rooms are large, but you most likely won’t make friends with people in the hall.

I was also accepted this year, and from what I’ve heard Hill is the most social with the cleanest bathrooms. The rooms are tiny though.

Awesome!! Thanks so much

I lived in Stouffer this year and have never seen a mouse, and only one bug. It’s much cleaner than anywhere I’ve seen in the Quad.

Worth noting that Hill has way fewer single rooms than anywhere in the Quad (53, compared to >150 in all 3 Quad buildings).
