When will we be contacted for interviews? I applied to Penn back in the first week of December! I submitted my Georgetown application around the same time and I got contacted for an interview on Christmas day..So I did the Georgetown interview the next week, which went very well by the way :), so now im waiting for Penn. Please post some information about interviews I would not find on the website! Thanks :)

I’m an alumni interviewer. Interview prospects have gone to the alumni chairs of each region, but it then takes time to assign folks to actually do the interview. The timing of the interview doesn’t signify anything.

And there’s still a LOT of time, so if you haven’t been contacted yet, it doesn’t mean anything.

I, personally, I my Penn interview over skype. So if you’re worried that there might not be any alumni in your area, you could still get contacted for a skype or phone interview!

Depends on your location and alum availability for interviews. I live in a major city and last year they picked two saturdays and distributed candidates based on alphabet between those two saturdays. People could essentially show up, sign in and do an interview on those saturdays. It was in February.

Wow thanks for this informative comment! btw if your username offers any indication of where you are from then I am also from Texas! Houston as a matter of fact…

I had a phone call from an alumna today, and she told me that the alumni interviewers do not have to submit their reports until March, so a lot of people probably haven’t even been contacted yet. She told me she just received the contact information of the candidates she’s interviewing. So I wouldn’t freak out at all. The interviewers are probably still getting information, and I’m sure a lot of them have really busy schedules.

Sorry that I “wasn’t helpful”, just was informing you of my experience. The interviewer was 2 towns away from me so they are really close so that must have been a factor. Also, just telling you when I was informed and it was by e-mail.
