Penn State ACT/SAT conversion

Anyone know what a 34 composite ACT will convert to for Penn State on their chart? Thanks.

34 is equiv to roughly 750’s on the SAT so I would guess 2250

Yeah I’ve seen 2260 and 2280 depending on the chart. I’m just trying to place myself on the PSU admissions chart.

I think you’ll need at least a 3.5 weighted GPA…but I dont think that chart is fool proof. The GPA and Test Scores are “very important” for admission to Penn State, but the “rigor” of your high school program is also an “important” factor. The admission process there is somewhat of a mystery, but I do think they take a look at how many advance courses you have taken and what level math you are in. I read somewhere that the level of math you have taken in high school is one of the best predictors of success in college.

Penn State’s admission criteria are explained in the common data set.

Since Penn State’s admissions are rolling there is also a “first come, first served” aspect to admissions. A lot of people have already applied to Penn State. Do you have your application complete yet?

Yes, my application has been in for over a month. I’m in AP Calculus AB this year. My school is pretty rigorous and sends a lot of kids to Penn State.

you should find out soon. Have you also applied to Pitt?

yes, and I’ve been accepted.

I really like Pitt- I dont think you can go wrong with either Pitt or PSU

That’s the big decision for me as well, Pitt or Psu

As a PSU fan, why you feel so indecisive? ^_~
