Penn State as a transfer

So a bit of a back story, I am finishing my bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance at a top conservatory, but would like to get a bachelor’s in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences afterwards. Basically I am doing a 180, finally quitting the violin (after many years of consideration) and going into academics with the goal of a future in animal sciences or medicine. I realize that it’s very late in the year to have finally made this decision, but on the Penn State website they say the application priority deadline for transfer students is April 15th (for the fall semester) and my application will be complete and sent in beforehand. I would like to take the first two years to study at a campus near my family’s home and then transfer to University Park for the last two years. I’m still a bit confused as to whether I will qualify as a transfer student when I will already have obtained an unrelated bachelors degree but couldn’t find any specific information on their website. I doubt that many of my music credits will transfer over other than a few humanities and extra cirricular credits. My other option is to enroll full time at a community college for next fall and apply at a later dealine if absolutely necessary. Does a prior music major have any chances of getting into an academic school like Penn State this late in the year and will they put much emphasis on my high school transcripts? The problem is that I was put on a intensive musical career path at an early age with little emphasis on academics (homeschooling and all) and my academic history isn’t all that impressive, probably what would be considered average at best. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!

anyone?
