Penn State Berks, would it hold me back in any way?

I am reconsidering my transfer considerations, have been giving thought to Penn State Berks, well i am technically well “overqualified” for this school and should well enough have the stats to be accepted to University Park. Its small student body, much smaller class sizes, professor-student interaction, and beautiful quiet campus all appeal to me. I do not drink, and grew up in a house of “partying” i really have no interest in it anymore… and don’t want to go to a part school… Their tuition is great, and i also love the way their biochemistry program is set up (only satellite that offers a separate bachelors in biochemistry)…not to mention it’s much closer to home.

I do assume i might have to work harder than someone going to UP because i might not get the credibility of someone going to main campus.

But is there any downsides to going to sort of a “lesser” school, and would the reputation i might receive of people assuming i just couldn’t get into UP ever be an actual detriment?

I do not believe so. Plus you could transfer to main campus in two years if your grades prove as well. A bachelors degree is a bachelors degree. Sure if you go to certain schools it holds more weight, but with PSU you have access to the largest alumni assoc in the world! Employers look that you have a degree and the knowledge you have learned.
