wow, congrats! no wonder your daughter got in that quick!!
Congratulations!
Wow, those are incredible stats. I hope she applied and gets into Schreyer too although the essays were a bear this year!
So far as @jlhpsu said, the first to hear are those who are clear “yes” or “no”.
Thank you! She has really worked for it……and she takes after her dad!! I went to college for the parties!
Yes it does look like some acceptances came in already! This is earlier than in other years, but may be accounted for that PSU is going on winter break earlier than usual so they have to get the decisions out. It will most likely be the top students hearing now.
I just posted a decision thread, so if you have received a decision, please go to the decision thread and post just the stats for the acceptance. Other students use these from year to year to get information on acceptances and timeframes and current applicants use these to see decisions rolling in.
Class of 2026 DECISION THREAD Penn State DECISION THREAD ONLY - CLASS OF 2026 - #2
Thanks!
My son was accepted this morning. My daughter is currently a Junior at University Park. It would be nice for them both to go there, but he doesn’t seem as enthused as my husband and I are:) Congratulations to all who received their acceptance today & good luck to the rest of you!!! It is a great school and my daughter has blossomed going there.

Looks like Engineering is jumping on the high stats kids quickly. good - get them excited!
My S just checked today (because I made him) and saw he has been accepted. Also College of Engineering. He just finalized his application on 10/30, so maybe they waited until 11/1 was complete and then ran scores/gpa’s to start the process.
yay!
My son was just accepted to main campus today! He is OOS (VA) and majoring in Criminology. Some stats: SAT 1430, 4.6 GPA, lots of AP classes… Good luck to everyone!
Does PSU drop decision notices throughout the day or at one specific time?
Did those who have received decisions get an email saying their decision was ready?
We received no email. I checked because I saw decisions in the decision thread.
(D22 was accepted into CS at UP)
Going through this process with 3rd child. There is really no rhyme or reason to “dumps” of acceptances from now until 12/24. Both boys were Smeal and got accepted between 12/15-12/23
Do you mind saying what your sons’ GPA and test scores were for Smeal? Thanks
My daughter was accepted!

So annoyed- I thought rolling would come out before EA so I applied rolling long before the EA deadline. Does anyone know if I could call to change the application to EA because I submitted rolling before November 1st? Or is it too late?
The one was out of 2400 and I believe it was 1950. Other was 1390
congrats to all! Nice to hear that they are rolling out the easy ‘admits’ sooner rather than waiting!
@collegejunior16 I would encourage you to call or email Admissions. If all the materials were received prior to Nov. 1st, they may be able to switch you to EA. I hate to be ‘that parent’, but it is important to review each university’s dates and deadlines individually. I know I have been confused about exactly what something meant and I’ve asked for help in making sure I am reading something correctly. (and I know the admissions world).
don’t worry since my friend also applied Rolling and just got admission today
S22 accepted and over the moon! Does anyone know if scholarship info comes later, or if not included with the acceptance letter, he can assume he missed out?
Penn State gives few scholarships, even to very strong students. Schreyer Honors College students get $5000 a year.
