Call them. I saw when doing the app that SRAR had to be in by Nov1 or you become RD.
Right there with you about loosing steam. Lots of apps in the first quarter of a very busy school year.
Intereating to see an OOS arts and science get approval. My kid is OOS Psych so in the same school. 4.27 weighted on a 5.0 scale. But rank is 56 (top 27 percent) and submitted 1310. So we will see.
I am not an admissions specialist, but it is possible the 1280 is not helping your profile. I would continue to ask people in the know.
What Major? I think that makes a difference.
would calling them give me any chance of being considered as an EA applicant? I’m not super anxious about it because I think I still have decent chances as RD (which it seems I am) but I’d prefer to be notified earlier. I am a little concerned they’ll think I’m treating them as a hasty sort of back-up plan if I do RD… but if I apply to Schreyer that will probably make up for it?
I would probably not submit a 1280, last year only 38% of applicants submitted a SAT score and 7% of applicants submitted an ACT score. I know a few people with strong grades and no scores who were admitted 11/14.
Do you know what colleges the TOs were accepted to on 11/14?
Liberal Arts
Do you think sociology is less competitive than Education major?
@Cloud4 regular admissions and schreyer have nothing to do with each other. So applying to Schreyer in hopes that admissions thinks you are more interested and that makes up for missing the EA deadline? Uh, no.
You can always call and ask what date your application was complete and which pool you are in. That will give you the confidence to know when to check (or not check).
Well I was planning on applying to Schreyer regardless lol
But I did call them and was told I’m considered EA! apparently we were given until the 6th to get everything in
What major? What math/verbal breakdown? 1280 would be great for some majors but 580 math/700 verbal wouldn’t be the same for Engineering and for History!
It’s probably the same or Education easier.
Has anyone got admissions to Accounting in the recent admissions.
Yes, my son was just admitted for accounting
Thanks. Was it In state or OOS. Also was it in the 8AM batch today?
Same score and I keep rethinking it too. What major? I go back and forth but I know schools prefer to see scores (at least most of them), and didn’t apply for a super competitive major so I am sticking for now but it is so nerve wracking.
Has anyone received any acceptances for Nursing? Applied 10/30 and submitted SRAR in time for EA.
(and it literally is a 700 math, 580 verbal for math). But also high school has harsher grading policy- 4.0 weighted so an A in an AP is a 4.0.) Your GPA is better so you might have a better chance test optional
Since the deadline for nursing applications is different (12/1) than EA, I don’t think they will release nursing decisions prior to that time.
