Penn State or CU Boulder

I plan to major in buisness and I've heard great things about Smeal; however, it is extremely expensive and I would have to take out a lot of loans as an OOS student. I live in Colorado thus I would get in state tuition for Cu boulder. I was wondering if the extra money payed for OOS tution would really be worth it

I also have the options of OHS, U oregon, and FSU if anyone has opinons on these ones instead

What is OHS ?

University of Oregon and Penn State University are very expensive out of state.

PSU and Boulder are peer schools but Penn State gets the slight edge in terms of Business. Both of them have similar stats. There is a 20k difference (80k for 4 years). How much loans will it be ?

Sorry I meant OSU. I haven’t got my FA status yet but I come from a middle class family so probably most of the tuition will have to be covered by loans.

Do you hope to eventually work in the east or west?

@XtremePower- Sorry I just checked my FA status and I only have 5500 in loans.

@1moremom- I honestly haven’t given it much thought but I believe I would be fine with both as long as a decent salary is available

Then if money is a concern Boulder probably makes more sense. And it’s a great school; we visited with my son (though he ended up at PSU). :)

I am more familiar with Penn State because of my cousin went there and they really loved it, but I think you should go with the one that will cost the least in the end.

CU Boulder is a great school, and I don’t think any of the other schools are worth the cost differential unless your parents are willing and able to pay it.

I have a bias towards PSU, but I don’t think it’s worth the extra money. CU Boulder is a great school.
