-syracuse is 5.5 hours away and pennstate is 4.5 hours
-plan on studying abroad in either barcelona or israel
-plan on doing research so being a number is scary at such big schools</p>

<p>i don’t know much about Penn State, but Syracuse has an excellent study abroad program. it sounds like SU actually has quite a few options for studying in Israel and a couple options for studying in Spain: [url=<a href=“http://suabroad.syr.edu/dest/]Destinations[/url”>Programs - Abroad – Syracuse University]Destinations[/url</a>]
also, there aren’t many other schools which have the kind of alumni connections that Syracuse does–you might want that if you’re majoring in something like communication disorders.</p>
<p>Syracuse! Much better school! Great study abroad programs. In most cases, they will provide the housing.</p>
<p>^^^ Better school? Other than Newhouse (Communications), PSU easily beats Syracuse in all other majors. A degree from Penn State would get you a lot more places than a degree from SU. Penn State hands down.</p>
